01510 NEW ASPE the Basics The vast majority of private enterprises who prepare complete financial statements with an accompanying assurance report (and many who do not) elect to use the Canadian accounting standards for private enterprises (ASPE). These private enterprises must apply ASPE standards in totality but, a majority of these private enterprises use only a core portion of ASPE. ASPE 101 explores these core elements. This full-day seminar will provide participants with knowledge and understanding of the commonly used elements of ASPE including the application of measurement standards, the information required to be presented in statements for basic operations and the financial statement disclosures for basic statements. This seminar does not address items such as stock-based compensation, restructurings, non-monetary transactions, consolidation and other less applied standards.

01106 How to Turn Spreadsheets into Visuals Copying a spreadsheet onto a slide is not effective. If you are an analyst, finance professional, accountant, manager, or executive, this could be a problem. They don’t teach you visuals in financial analysis courses. They teach you how to crunch the numbers. Which is good for analysis, but not good for presenting the results of that analysis to senior executives. You don’t need to learn graphic design. You need to learn to be a detective that looks for clues in the spreadsheet. Find the clues and, along with your knowledge of the analysis, you will figure out the message you need to communicate. Then you can create a visual that shows the message much better than the table of numbers. $49 or 1 Passport Ticket

00919 Cash Cows, Pigs & Jackpots: The Simplest Personal Finance Strategy Ever The previously accepted method of building wealth doesn’t work anymore. The truth about personal finances is very simple: our quest to build wealth and secure a comfortable retirement ends up making us poor and others rich. We are persuaded to build our assets and net worth, load up on real estate and buy houses and rental properties. We put money into the stock market, using expensive mutual funds. Many of us use debt to do the building. This strategy is deeply flawed with faulty logic sending people on a journey to the poorhouse. What we should really be focused on is not getting rich but plain old cash flow Early $550 or 7 tickets, Regular $630

Individuals who are interested in helping their friends, family and clients focus on what really matters in their lives – not building wealth, but ensuring cash flow.
